North American Scientific to transition president and chief executive officer position

North American Scientific, Inc. (NASI) announced that L. Michael Cutrer, the company's founder, president and CEO, plans to transition the position of president and chief executive officer and to become the company's executive vice president and chief technology officer.

The Board of Directors has formed a committee to immediately initiate a search for his successor. As chief technology officer, Cutrer would, in addition to other responsibilities, continue to play an active leadership role in the company's breast brachytherapy program and to remain a member of the company's Board of Directors.
