Study confirms treating prostate cancer preferable to watchful waiting

Endocare, Inc. (ENDO) announced that a large study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association confirms that men with early prostate cancer should seriously consider all prostate cancer treatment options before choosing "watchful waiting" as a disease management approach.

The study consisted of 44,630 men between the ages of 65 and 80 and found that those patients who chose to treat their prostate cancer were 30% less likely to die than those who waited.
