Immunicon awarded research services and laboratory master services agreements



February 27th, 2007

Immunicon Corp. (IMMC) announced that the company entered into two separate agreements with Novartis Pharmaceutical Corp.

The research services agreement establishes a collaboration to develop a family of biomarkers associated with circulating tumor cells (CTCs) that may be useful in determining the efficacy of certain cancer therapies in development by Novartis.

Leon Terstappen, MD, PhD, chief scientific officer of Immunicon, said, "The list of biomarkers not only includes assessment of the presence or absence of the target, but also the modulation status of certain targets, which makes it quite interesting. We are looking forward to collaborating...
