Cytyc announces new U.K. clinical guideline often recommends endometrial ablation vs. hysterectomy

Cytyc Corporation (CYTC), a provider of surgical and diagnostic products targeting cancer diagnostics and women's health, announced that a new clinical guideline for Heavy Menstrual Bleeding (HMB), published this month by the U.K. National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE), recommends endometrial ablation as preferable to hysterectomy for the treatment of most women who suffer from heavy menstrual bleeding alone.
