National Cancer Center Research Institute reports research in cancer gene therapy

Researchers detail in "Involvement of splicing factor-1 in beta-catenin/T-cell factor-4-mediated gene transactivation and pre-mRNA splicing," new data in cancer gene therapy. "beta-Catenin is the downstream effector of the Wnt signaling pathway and is involved in the process of colorectal carcinogenesis. However, it is still uncertain whether beta-catenin exerts its oncogenic function solely by coactivating the target genes of T-cell factor-4 (TCF4)," scientists writing in the journal Gastroenterology report.
