New cancer epidemiology study findings have been published by scientists at Derriford Hospital

New research, "The impact of improving outcomes guidance on surgical management of vulval squamous cell cancer in southwest England (1997-2002)," is the subject of a report. According to recent research published in the journal BJOG, "The objective of this study was to assess the impact of reorganisation of gynaecological services in southwest U.K. following adoption of regionally agreed evidence-based guidelines and publication of the National Improving Outcomes Guidance in 1999. Prospective audit with cross-checking against histological reports."
