Researchers from Northern California Cancer Center report on findings in liver cancer epidemiology

Current study results from the report, "The burden of liver cancer in Asians and Pacific Islanders in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, 1990 through 2004," have been published. In this recent article published in the journal Cancer, scientists in the United States conducted a study "To the authors' knowledge, no previous USA. study has examined time trends in the incidence rate of liver cancer in the high-risk Asian/Pacific Islander population. In this study, liver cancer incidence trends were evaluated in Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese men and women in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area of California between 1990 and 2004."
