Reports outline carcinoma therapy study findings from University of Munster, Department of Urology

Current study results from the report, "Histologic subtype of metastatic renal cell carcinoma predicts response to combined immunochemotherapy with interleukin 2, interferon alpha and 5-fluorouracil," have been published. "Combined immunochemotherapy with interleukin 2 (IL-2), interferon alpha (IFN-alpha), and 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) is an established first-line therapy for metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC). However, data on histologic parameters predictive of clinical benefit are rare," scientists writing in the journal European Urology report.
