Findings from Institute of Pathology advance knowledge in breast cancer prognosis

Research findings, "Legumain expression as a prognostic factor in breast cancer patients," are discussed in a new report. According to recent research from Hannover, Germany, "Invasive tumor cells and their microenvironments are enriched with a broad spectrum of different proteases. Legumain, a novel asparaginyl endopeptidase, has been observed to be highly expressed in several types of solid tumors."
