Researchers from University of North Carolina, Thurston Arthritis Research Center describe findings in cancer therapy

New investigation results, "Defective antitumor responses in CX3CR1-deficient mice," are detailed in a study published in International Journal of Cancer. According to recent research from the United States, "Innate immunity is critically important for tumor surveillance and regulating tumor metastasis. Fractalkine (FKN, CX3CL1), operating through the receptor CX3CR1, is an effective chemoattractant and adhesion receptor for NK cells and monocytes, important constituents of the innate immune response."
