A report, "Role of surgeons in clinical trials for thyroid cancer," is newly published data in World Journal of Surgery. According to recent research published in the World Journal of Surgery, "Properly performed clinical trials provide a foundation for evidence-based medical practice. The surgeon plays a central role in the management of patients with malignant solid tumors, including thyroid cancer, because operative extirpation of the malignancy is the essential first step in effective therapy."
