Researchers detail in "A gene transcription signature of the Akt/mTOR pathway in clinical breast tumors," new data in cancer gene therapy. According to a study from the United States, "The Akt pathway is commonly deregulated in many cancers. Clinical trials are currently underway to test the effectiveness of breast cancer treatment by inhibition of various Akt pathway intermediates."
