University of Nottingham, Wolfson Digestive Diseases Center publishes research in gastric cancer

A new study, 'A new Helicobacter pylori vacuolating cytotoxin determinant, the intermediate region, is associated with gastric cancer,' is now available. According to a study from Nottingham, the United Kingdom, "Helicobacter pylori is the main cause of peptic ulceration and gastric adenocarcinoma. The vacuolating cytotoxin gene, vacA, is a major determinant of virulence."
