Most young boys spend their seventh birthday playing with friends and unwrapping presents. Unfortunately one local boy, Jake Robert Widman, of Gurnee, won't be blowing out the candles on his birthday cake this year. Jake died of a rare form of pediatric cancer called neuroblastoma on May 27, 2005, when he was just four years old. This year, on his seventh birthday, his family, friends and hundreds of local supporters will celebrate his life by raising money and awareness to benefit The Super Jake Foundation.
