Genomic Health Reports Recommendation of Oncotype DX(R) in National Comprehensive Cancer Network Guidelines

Genomic Health, Inc. (NASDAQ:GHDX) reported that the company's Oncotype DX(R) breast cancer assay, used to predict the likelihood of disease recurrence and the likelihood of chemotherapy benefit for a large portion of early-stage breast cancer patients, has been included in the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN) 2008 Breast Cancer Treatment Guidelines. Oncotype DX is the only multi-gene expression assay to be recommended by NCCN, an alliance of 21 world-leading cancer centers dedicated to improving the quality and effectiveness of care provided to patients with cancer.
