Findings from University of Porto, Institute of Molecular Pathology and Immunology broaden understanding of gastric cancer risk factors

Investigators publish new data in the report 'The interleukin-8-251*T/*A polymorphism is not associated with risk for gastric carcinoma development in a Portuguese population.' "It has been demonstrated that polymorphisms within inflammation-related genes are associated with risk of gastric carcinoma in Helicobacter pylori-infected individuals.
