Findings from Sheba Medical Center, Department of Gynecology provide new insights into cancer gene therapy

Research findings, 'Hypermethylation of CpG island loci of multiple tumor suppressor genes in retinoblastoma,' are discussed in a new report. According to recent research from Tel Hashomer, Israel, "Epigenetic silencing of tumor suppressor genes by methylation of discrete regions of the CpG islands is a major mechanism underlying tumorigenesis.
