Reports from University Hospital, Division of Thoracic Surgery highlight recent research in gene therapy

Fresh data on gene therapy are presented in the report 'PTEN expression is a strong predictor of survival in mesothelioma patients.' According to a study from Zurich, Switzerland, "Malignant pleural mesothelioma (MPM) is a highly aggressive tumor with poor prognosis and limited response to therapy. MPM is characterised by complex chromosomal aberrations, including chromosome 10 losses."
