According to recent research from the United States, "Microscopic findings associated with paclitaxel (Taxol) chemotherapy toxicity were described years ago but whether they are specific for toxicity remains unclear. Further, epithelial changes associated with taxanes can mimic high-grade dysplasia (HGD) in non-neoplastic gastrointestinal (GI) tract mucosa."
