Studies from University College, Department of Computer Science provide new data on cancer gene therapy

A report, 'The in vivo rate of somatic adenomatous polyposis coli mutation,' is newly published data in American Journal of Pathology. "Cancer arises through successive somatic mutations/epimutations of oncogenes and tumor-suppressor genes. Accurate estimates of the rates at which these (epi)mutations occur are a vital but missing link in our emerging quantitative understanding of tumorigenesis," researchers in London, the United Kingdom report.
