Research from M. Akcaer and co-researchers yields new findings on adenocarcinoma

According to a study from the United States, "A 60-year-old woman with endometrioid adenocarcinoma (stage FIGO II) presented with left eye pain. A hysterectomy was to be preceded by pelvic radiation therapy (45 Gy)." "Ophthalmic examination with high frequency ultrasonography revealed a ciliary, body tumor with iris extension. Positron emission tomography and computed tomography fusion revealed multifocal metastatic disease. A Finger iridectomy technique ciliary body tumor biopsy revealed metastatic endometrioid adenocarcinoma. Treatment with external beam radiation therapy (3,060 cGy in 17 daily fractions) resolved her ocular disease. Subsequent and rapidly evolving...
