Cancer Gene Therapy

Data on cancer gene therapy described by investigators at Heidelberg University, German Cancer Research Center

July 8th, 2008

Investigators publish new data in the report 'Cellular genetic tools to control oncolytic adenoviruses for virotherapy of cancer.' "Key challenges facing cancer therapy are the development of tumor-specific drugs and the implementation of potent multimodal treatment regimens. Oncolytic adenoviruses, featuring cancer-selective viral cell lysis and spread, constitute a particularly interesting drug platform towards both goals," scientists in Heidelberg, Germany report.
