Researchers from Tri-Service General Hospital report on findings in adrenocortical cancer

According to recent research from Taipei, Taiwan, "Adrenocortical carcinoma can recur frequently after successful surgery but no adequate markers can detect this recurrence." "Here, we present a recurrence of adrenocortical carcinoma with a high renin expression, after successful surgery, where hypertension has developed again. Tumor recurrence was observed via F-18-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography and coregistered computed tomography," wrote M.J. Wen and colleagues, Tri-Service General Hospital.
