"Ampullary carcinoma and distal cholangiocarcinoma are potentially more amenable to pancreaticoduodenectomy for long-term survival than pancreatic carcinoma. The aims of this study are to evaluate experience with ampullary carcinoma and distal cholangiocarcinoma at a single institution," researchers in Chiba, Japan report.
