Researchers from University of Wisconsin, Department of Human Oncology describe findings in life sciences

Current study results from the report, 'CD40 ligation in vivo can induce T cell independent antitumor effects even against immunogenic tumors,' have been published. "Antitumor effects of CD40 ligation appear to involve distinct antitumor effector cells in different experimental models. In this study, we tested whether T cells were required for antitumor effects of agonistic anti-CD40 mAb (alphaCD40) against immunogenic versus poorly immunogenic tumors," scientists writing in the journal Cancer Immunology, Immunotherapy report.
