Scientists at Shandong University publish new data on fibrosarcoma

According to recent research published in the journal Cancer Gene Therapy, "Therapy targeting hypoxia-inducible factor-1 (HIF-1) to reverse the hypoxia-related drug resistance has received much interest. Despite a close interaction between HIF-1 and p53 and that p53 mutation is seen in > 50% of tumors, whether HIF-1 silencing by targeted therapy depends on tumor p53 status remains unknown."
