Researchers from Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College describe findings in cancer gene therapy

Current study results from the report, 'Biodistribution and kinetics of the novel selective oncolytic adenovirus M1 after systemic administration,' have been published. "Oncolytic adenoviruses represent a promising novel therapeutic option for the treatment of cancer. Despite their demonstrated safety in human clinical trials, the fundamental properties of oncolytic adenovirus biodistribution, spread, viral persistence, and replication in vivo have not been well characterized," scientists writing in the journal Molecular Cancer Therapeutics report.
