Study Shows That Copd Patients Do Not Know Information About Their Disease

In a study done by Donna R. Parker, Roberta E. Goldman, and Charles B. Eaton titled, "A Qualitative Study of Individuals at Risk for or Who Have Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease: What Do They Understand About Their Disease'" the authors found that most COPD patients have little to no knowledge about the disease. According to their research published in the journal Lung, Parker, Goldman and Eaton explain, "most patients with, or at risk for, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) have little knowledge of the condition and many have never heard of it."
