Kidney Cancer Patients Treated With Sutent Report Experiencing Lower Severity of Symptoms Compared With Interferon-Alfa, Data Show

Pfizer announced that patients with advanced renal cell carcinoma (RCC), also known as advanced kidney cancer, treated with single-agent, oral SUTENT® (sunitinib malate) reported experiencing significantly lower severity of symptoms like bone pain and breathlessness, among others, than patients treated with IFN-a. This secondary analysis was published in the August 1, 2008, issue of the Journal of Clinical Oncology.
