Onyx Pharmaceuticals Reports Second Quarter and Six-Month 2008 Financial Results

Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:ONXX) reported its financial results for the three and six months ended June 30, 2008. Onyx reported net income of $4.5 million, or $0.08 per diluted share, for the second quarter of 2008 compared to a net loss of $10.8 million, or $0.22 per diluted share, in the same period in 2007. Excluding employee stock-based compensation expense, non-GAAP net income for the second quarter of 2008 was $8.7 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, compared to a non-GAAP net loss of $7.2 million, or $0.15 per diluted share, in the same period in 2007.
