Reports outline basal cell cancer study results from A. Konstantinidis et al

"An 80-year-old woman presented with a lump in her left lower eyelid," investigators in Coventry, the United Kingdom report. "Histopathology of the lesion supported the diagnosis of basal cell carcinoma with osteosarcomatous changes. The lesion was fully excised and the eyelid was recontructed with a Hughes flap," wrote A. Konstantinidis and colleagues. The researchers concluded: "There was no recurrence after 10 months of follow-up."
