Researchers from Nagasaki University, First Department of Internal Medicine report details of new studies and findings in the area of hepatocellular cancer therapy

A report, 'Significance of trans-hepatic arterial chemotherapy for advanced hepatocellular carcinoma with portal vein tumor thrombus,' is newly published data in Oncology Reports. According to recent research from Nagasaki, Japan, "Portal vein tumor thrombus (PVTT) is observed in a considerable number of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) cases. It is an exacerbating factor for patients afflicted with HCC."
