Investigators publish new data in the report 'Zinc transporter mRNA expression in the RWPE-1 human prostate epithelial cell line.' "The human prostate gland undergoes a prominent alteration in Zn+2 homeostasis during the development of prostate cancer. The goal of the present study was to determine if the immortalized human prostate cell line (RWPE-1) could serve as a model system to study the role of zinc in prostate cancer," investigators in the United States report.
