New cancer research from Sungkyunkwan University discussed

A new study, 'Tumor volume assessment by 18F-FDG PET/CT in patients with oral cavity cancer with dental artifacts on CT or MR images,' is now available. According to recent research from Seoul, Korea, "The purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical usefulness of PET/CT or CT-attenuated PET in the evaluation of patients with oral cavity cancer (OCC) in whom dental artifacts distorted the conventional CT or MR images of the oral cavity. A PET/CT scan, in addition to a CT or MRI scan, was performed in 69 patients with OCC who had dentures or dental implants."
