Investigators at University of Michigan publish new data on brain metastasis

According to recent research from the United States, "Radiation necrosis of the brain is a well documented adverse effect of radiation therapy." "The authors report an unusual case of relapsing multifocal radiation necrosis following whole brain radiation therapy (WBRT) for brain metastases from a systemic germ cell tumor. Anticoagulation with warfarin may have had therapeutic benefit," wrote M. Cerghet and colleagues, University of Michigan.
