Research findings, 'Prevalence and predictors of high-risk human papillomavirus infection in a population-based sample of women in rural Uganda,' are discussed in a new report. According to a study from the United States, "High-risk genital human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is aetiologically linked to cervical cancer; however, data on the prevalence and determinants of high-risk HPV infection in Uganda are limited.
