Researchers from University of Palermo discuss findings in enzyme research

New investigation results, 'Histone deacetylase inhibitors: apoptotic effects and clinical implications (Review),' are detailed in a study published in International Journal of Oncology. "It has been shown that epigenetic modifications play an important role in tumorigenesis. Thus, affecting epigenetic tumorigenic alterations can represent a promising strategy for anticancer targeted therapy," investigators in Palermo, Italy report.
