Onyx Pharmaceuticals Reports Third Quarter and Nine-Month 2008 Financial Results

Onyx Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (NASDAQ:ONXX) reported its financial results for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2008. Onyx reported net income of $12.2 million, or $0.21 per diluted share, for the third quarter of 2008 compared to net income of $0.6 million, or $0.01 per diluted share, in the same period in 2007. Excluding employee stock-based compensation expense, non-GAAP net income for the third quarter of 2008 was $16.6 million, or $0.29 per diluted share, compared to a non-GAAP net income of $4.2 million, or $0.08 per diluted share, in the same period in 2007.
