Recent studies from Okayama University add new data to mesothelioma

Scientists discuss in 'The aberrant promoter methylation of BMP3b and BMP6 in malignant pleural mesotheliomas' new findings in mesothelioma. According to recent research published in the journal Oncology Reports, "Bone morphogenetic proteins (BMPs) belong to the transforming growth factor-beta superfamily. Recent studies have showed that aberrant methylation of BMP genes is present in several types of human cancer."
