Researchers at University of Tehran publish new data on angiogenesis

"Angiogenesis is a prerequisite for the growth, invasion and metastasis of solid tumors. The aim of this study was to investigate the changes of microvessel densities in tumor with a method of probability," scientists writing in the journal Computers in Biology and Medicine report. "We showed that the stages of tumor angiogenesis may follow a probabilistic pattern compatible with Markov chain and this could be of prognostic importance.
