New hepatocellular cancer therapy research from Pochon CHA University described

Researchers detail in 'Integrin alpha V polymorphisms and haplotypes in a Korean population are associated with susceptibility to chronic hepatitis and hepatocellular carcinoma,' new data in hepatocellular cancer. According to recent research from Korea, "Integrins are cell surface receptors for extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins that initiate signalling pathways that modulate proliferation, survival, invasion or metastasis. Consequently, integrins are potential targets for the treatment of cancer."
