According to recent research published in the journal Cancer Gene Therapy, "Combination therapy with replicative oncolytic viruses is a recent topic in innovative cancer therapy, but few studies have examined the efficacy of oncolytic adenovirus plus replication-deficient adenovirus carrying a suicide gene.
