According to recent research from Xian, People's Republic of China, " Eukaryotic initiation factor eIF4E, an important regulator of translation, plays a crucial role in the malignant transformation, progression and chemoresistance of many human solid tumors. The overexpression of this gene has been found in a variety of human malignancies including breast carcinoma."
