Study results from University of Padova in the area of cancer prevention published

Scientists discuss in 'Cell-cycle inhibition and apoptosis induced by curcumin and cisplatin or oxaliplatin in human ovarian carcinoma cells' new findings in cancer. According to a study from Padova, Italy, "Alteration of appropriate cell-cycle progression and of closely related apoptotic process is a basic feature of tumor cells, and development of new tumour-targeted agents focus on apoptosis, either during cell-cycle arrest or following premature cell-cycle checkpoint exit.
