Research from Osaka University, Department of Urology yields new data on interferon

A report, 'Type-I interferon receptor expression: its circadian rhythm and downregulation after interferon-alpha administration in peripheral blood cells from renal cancer patients,' is newly published data in International Journal of Urology. In this recent report, researchers in Suita, Japan conducted a study "To investigate the regulation of interferon-alpha (IFN-alpha) receptor expression in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (RCC) after IFN-alpha administration. Blood sampling was carried out in eight patients with metastatic RCC and six healthy volunteers."
