Ray of Hope for Melanoma Patients – Research from the NCMC Prolongs Survival for Melanoma Patients

The Northern California Melanoma Center’s (NCMC) research has been selected to be published in an upcoming issue of the Journal of Immunotherapy and the announcement could not be timelier. Spring is here, summer is fast approaching and people are spending more time outdoors. Monday, May 4th is Melanoma Monday and serves to remind everyone of the dangers of skin cancer.

Every hour of every day someone in the U.S. dies of melanoma which is the deadliest form of skin cancer and now one of the most common types of cancers, affecting people of all ages. The American Cancer Society estimated that 62,480 Americans would be diagnosed with melanoma and 8,420 people would die...
