According to a study from Hannover, Germany, "RAGE is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily of cell surface molecules playing key roles in pathophysiological processes, e.g. immune/inflammatory disorders, Alzheimer's disease diabetic arteriosclerosis and tumourigenesis.
