Research from University Hospital, Department of Urology yields new data on renal cell carcinoma

Data detailed in 'Outcome of nephron-sparing surgery for T1b renal cell carcinoma' have been presented. According to a study from Leuven, Belgium, "To present our experience with nephron-sparing surgery (NSS) for T1b renal cell carcinoma (RCC) in a high-volume tertiary referral centre. NSS for RCC of <4 cm (T1a) is increasingly accepted, although its role for RCC of 4-7 cm (T1b) remains controversial."
