Harbin Medical University describes research in gene therapy

June 16th, 2009

Fresh data on gene therapy are presented in the report 'Ultrasound-mediated microbubble destruction facilitates gene transfection in rat C6 glioma cells.' According to recent research from Harbin, People's Republic of China, "The goal of this study was to determine whether ultrasound (US) exposure combined with microbubble destruction could be used to enhance non-viral gene delivery in rat C6 glioma cells. Microbubbles were prepared and gently mixed with plasmid DNA."
