New findings in cancer described by A.M. Stringer and co-researchers

According to a study from Adelaide, Australia, "Mucositis is a major oncological problem, caused by the cytotoxic effects of cancer chemotherapy and radiotherapy. Irinotecan is used to treat a variety of solid tumours, through the inhibition of DNA topoisomerase I and is linked with severe mucositis and diarrhoea."
